Sunday School

Sunday School at First Lutheran Church is held at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays between
the worship services. This includes the summer months.  Our classes include Nursery through 8th grade. 

ACES = Adult Christian Education Series

Men's Bible Study meets weekly on Monday evenings at 6 p.m. at the Lowry residence at 508 Red Bird Lane.
      We will be studying the book of Exodus.

Brown Bag Bible Study meets Wednesdays at noon.  Bring a sack lunch. 

Adult Christian Education meets Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. 
     In April we will be studying "Discussing the DaVinci Code."

Adult Christian Education also meets Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m.
     In April we will be studying "Meet the Neighbors:  Our Inter-religious World."  Let's expand our knowledge
     about building our ever increasing inter-religious world.

     In May, June and July, we will have The Andy Griffith Show Bible Study.

     August 3 through August 17 we will continue The Andy Griffith Show Bible Study.

     August 24 and August 31 we will study Davey and Goliath.

Confirmation Instruction

Confirmation Instruction, called the GIFT Program (GIFT = Growing In Faith Together),
is a series of faith-development courses for 3rd through 8th grade students.
The programs offered are:

Grade 3 Bible Orientation
Grade 4 Baptism
Grade 5 Communion
Grade 6 Life of Jesus and The Ten Commandments
Grade 7 The Old Testament and The Lord's Prayer
Grade 8 Apostles' Creed and The New Testament

Classes vary in length from 4 to 10 weeks and are held during Sunday
School time.

Confirmation Camp is held at the Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries facilities
in Ashland, Nebraska the first week of July each summer for grade 6. Students
spend Sunday through Friday with their class along with students from several
other Lutheran congregations in Nebraska for faith formation activities throughout
the week.

Confirmation is celebrated in September of each year as the students are
beginning the 9th grade.
