Sunday School

Sunday School at First Lutheran Church is held at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays between
the worship services. This includes the summer months.  Our classes include Nursery through 8th grade. 

ACES = Adult Christian Education Series

Brown Bag Bible Study meets Wednesdays at noon.  Bring a sack lunch. 
      We will be taking a break during summer.

Men's Bible Study meets weekly on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. at the Lowry residence at 508 Red Bird Lane.
      We will be studying the book of Job.

Adult Christian Education meets Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. 
     We will be taking a break during summer.

Adult Christian Education also meets Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m.
     Fire on the Mountain by Rev. Ray Vander Laan.  When the Egyptians left Egypt, they were finally free.  Free
     from persecutions, free from oppression, and free to worship their own God.  But with that freedom comes a
     new challenge--learning low to live together the way God intends.  They were shaped in the desert.  Discover
     how God teaches the Israelites what it means to be a community that loves God and what that means for
     us today.

Confirmation Instruction

Confirmation Instruction is a faith-development course for 7th through 8th grade students.
Some of the programs offered are:

Bible Orientation
Baptism
Communion
Lutheran Worship
The Ten Commandments
The Old Testament
The Lord's Prayer
Apostles' Creed
The New Testament

Classes and are held Wednesday nights at 5:30 pm.

Confirmation Camp is held at the Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries facilities
in Ashland, Nebraska the first week of July each summer for grade 6. Students
spend Sunday through Friday with their class along with students from several
other Lutheran congregations in Nebraska for faith formation activities throughout
the week.

Confirmation is celebrated in April of each year as the students are
finished 8th grade.
